Jameel ‘Meel’ Davis discovered music at an early age.  Growing up in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, it was a part of his family’s everyday life.  With dedication and his knack for finding what’s next, Meel has been able to transform his love of music, old and new, into a fulfilling career as a DJ.

Whether it’s a solo gig or serving as one half of The Good Guys, with DJ Steph Floss, Meel gets the job done. He currently serves as the official DJ for the Cleveland Gladiators. His experience also includes handling the music for such clients as Nike, Sprite, Cleveland Municipal Housing Authority, The Boys and Girls Club, Timberland and more.  The secret to his success?  He plays it all.  It is widely known that whenever Meel is at work, there’s no telling what you may hear.

Amassing these accomplishments has caused Meel to look at the music industry with a more focused eye.  “That’s how you become a leader, by stepping out and taking a chance on what you believe in,” says Meel. In 2014, he was given the opportunity to travel with Maybach Music Group recording artist Stalley for his No Place Like Home tour.  In addition to curating and releasing his own projects, he is also a part of The Cosign; an assembly of the top Cleveland DJs and music industry representatives.

Meel’s love for music and leadership abilities have created a positive platform.  He has worked with Cleveland youth for thirteen years, with the hope of one day starting his own mentorship program.  While educating at-risk youth on the discovery and pursuit of the arts, this program would have a concentration in DJing, music production, and film.

In a short amount of time, a trademark knowledge of music and good character have helped Meel create quite a name for himself.
